Boat Ramps
Boat ramps are located at both marinas, and also at the beaches. Each site has ample paved or grass parking available for vehicles and trailers while the boats are on the lake.

Campground
The Lake of the Woods Campground offers sites available for seasonal, monthly, weekly, or daily camping – either tent camping or camper camping. The campground offers electric, water, showers, laundry facilities, a pavilion, playground and two bathroom sites. There are a number of pull-through sites for the larger camper units.

Clubhouse Complex
The Clubhouse Complex is the focal point of community activity and spirit. It is located near the dam and main entrance. The complex offers broad, sandy beachfront lake swimming, a swimming pool, recreational areas, picnic areas, boat dock (with fuel service), and a large clubhouse with both formal and casual dining.

The Clubhouse has beautiful formal dining rooms, restaurants and snack bars, a sports lounge, a smoking lounge, and outdoor seasonal dining deck. All dining rooms and lounges have spacious views of the main lake. The Clubhouse operates year round with a dinner menu available Wednesday through Saturday. There are banquet facilities for wedding receptions, parties, club meetings, or any special occasion. Maximum capacity for banquets is 250 persons. Preferred dress for ladies and gentlemen at dinner is everything from dressy casual wear (shorts and shirts with collars) to semi-formal. Kids should be “neatly attired in clothing as is currently fashionable”.

Emergency Services – 911
The Lake of the Woods Fire and Rescue personnel are on 24x7 radio alert under the 911 system. Our completely modern fire department has four trucks, a crash vehicle, water rescue equipment, a rescue squad with three ambulances, and an emergency response vehicle. Our squad backs-up nearby fire and rescue units on a reciprocal basis. Its headquarters are near the main entrance gate.

Fishing
The lake is well-stocked with game fish and feeder fish each year. You may fish from the shoreline or our dock with abandon! But, if you fish from a boat out on the lake, you will need a state fishing license, which you can purchase locally.

Golf Course
Our picturesque 18-hole PGA course is carved into the woods of tall oak and pines. No two fairways adjoin. The par-71 course is designed with a variety of slopes, sand, and water. It also has a pro shop and snack bar. Please play in shirts with collars, and soft spikes or sneakers. The golf course participates in the Virginia State Golf Association Card program. Internet Access
The house is equipped with unrestricted wired and wireless broadband internet access.

Marinas
There are 2 marinas with rental dock slips and boat ramps. Both marinas have boat launching ramps and boat slips for rent. The Main Marina has restrooms and the Small Marina a portable toilet. It also has 13 dry storage slips for sailboats and 47 wet slips for powerboats, sailboats, or pontoon boats. The Small Marina has 41 wet storage slips. The Main Marina also offers gas and oil fueling service accessible from the water. After Memorial Day, the gas station is open daily, except Mondays. Hours of operation are 12:30pm–7:00pm daily, and 9:30am–6:30pm weekends. Call the pro shop at 540-972-2230.

Parks & Playgrounds
There are 4 nice parks with playgrounds, picnic areas, paths, shelters, grills, tennis, baseball, and comfort facilities. One has a pavilion for large gatherings.

Pavilion
There is a picnic pavilion for parties that has tables to seat approximately 96 adults. If the party includes children, the pavilion could seat about 125. You may reserve it at no charge!

Riding Stables
You can take trail rides, riding lessons, enter show competition, board your horse, and more – all at the Lake of the Woods Stables. Kids can help tack and feed the animals, too! There are summer horse camps and schedules specifically designed for kids. “Pony Camp” for kids 6 and up is offered in 6 one-week sessions, Mon.-Fri., June 28th- August 13th. Call Jocelyn MacDonald, the stables manager, at 540-972-2238 for schedule information and to arrange any stable activities.

Roller Skating & Skateboarding
Go for it! Just don’t do it at the Clubhouse entry and driveways, the Pavillion, the campground pavilion, or tennis courts (there’s a lot of road left!).

Security
Lake of the Woods is a gated community with controlled entry. Our Security Service provides 24X7 coverage, radar-controlled speed surveillance, seasonal boat patrols on the main lake, and radio dispatched emergency assistance on 911 calls. County and State police provide additional support.

Sports Fields
There are 2 regulation soccer fields and a lighted baseball/softball field.

Swimming Pools
There are 2 junior Olympic sized swimming pools, open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Both have diving boards and 'baby pool' facilities for little ones. The pools can be rented for parties. Swimming lessons are available all summer.

Teen Center
The Teen Center, for kids ages 11-16, is open Mon-Thurs 7-9pm; and & Sat. 6:30-9:30pm. The center has pool tables, TV’s, computers, music, snacks, and adult supervision.

Tennis Courts
There are 6 tennis courts. Four of them are lighted for evening play. Courts are generally available when you want to play!

Trails – Walking, Hiking, Biking
We have many (many!) great trails for walking, hiking or biking. We also have a Worldtrail aerobic fitness trail located in the Campground area with about 12 aerobic stations.
